THE NARRATIVE
as an ethnically & multi-culturally diverse team initiated into many sacred traditions presently working with many indigenous Nations around the world, we have been guided through these beautiful relations to birth this festival ...
TRIBAL UNION FESTIVAL is a prayer to affirm and honor the fulfillment of the Prophecy of the Eagle & Condor. This prophecy is rooted in ancient traditions from North, Central, and South American cultures and foretold of a 500 year period of disharmony between the Nations of the Eagle and Condor. The “Eagle” represents the modern, technological worldview and is associated with the mind, the masculine, the material. The “Condor” represents the traditional, indigenous worldviews and cultures associated with the heart, the feminine, the spiritual. As the prophecy foretold, after this 500 year period, the Nations of the Eagle and the Condor would once again fly together in harmony. The only way forward for humanity is from the harmony & synergy of these worldviews: we cannot achieve global harmony and unity from either worldview alone.
"When the eagle of the north flies with the condor of the south, the spirit of the land will re-awaken." -inca prophecy
"the fifth pachakuti era stands for a new level of consciousness for humanity. during this time, people will re-unite. 'the fifth pachakuti would create a portal for the eagle and condor to fly together in one sky, to mate and create a new offspring: higher human consciousness. some say that this offspring is represented by the quetzal of central america, the mayan bird that is the symbol of bringing together heart and mind, art and science, male and female." – john perkins
